CURRENT OPENINGS:

Upper Level Elementary Teacher:
Seeking an upper level elementary teacher with at least 2-5 years of teaching experience in grades 3-5 preferred. Strong track record of student achievement in past teaching, especially in the areas of reading, writing and math. Assessment experience with iReady, Fountas and Pinnell, and/or other assessment tools a plus. Adaptable to digital instruction with reasonable ease. Strong sense of personal accountability for student achievement. Belief that all students can learn at a high level. A unifier - with a collaborative mindset from beginning to end. The continuation of educational professional learning a welcome priority. Work within urban schools or similar organizations essential. Ability to work closely with families through phone calls and face to face and/or online conferences.
Kindergarten Teacher:

We are seeking a passionate Christ-follower who will infuse that passion into their daily work as a kindergarten teacher. Dynamic energetic individual with at least three years of K experience. Understanding of assessment measures such as Fountas & Pinnell, iReady, DIBELS. Self-starter with ability to collaborate with team and across grade levels. Must be currently certified or able to renew certification. 

ReFuel After School Director:

Responsible for overseeing the afterschool program at HA which runs from 3-6pm every school day and 12-6 on the eight early release days. Director oversees the counselors who implement the activities that are staged and scheduled by the director. The enrichment, safety, security is the direct responsibility of the director. While not in direct oversight of a group of children the director ensures that the program runs smoothly, that counselors are effective and that the productivity of the program is high.

The qualified applicant must be mission compatible with HA, have experience with large groups of children, excellent planning and implementation skill and be a timely and effective communicator.

ReFuel After School Counselor:

Responsible for supervising a group of up to 15 children in grades K-5. The schedule and activities are chosen by the director but the counselor has the responsibility to execute the plans. The hours are 3-6 during the school year with up to 8 early release days of 12-6. The qualified applicant will be mission compatible with HA, have prior experience with large group of school aged children. High energy, high expectations, love of children a MUST.

Middle School Language Arts Teacher:

We are seeking an experienced, talented, energetic Middle School Language Arts teacher for the 2021-22 school year. Candidates should have an undergraduate degree in English or middle grades English education.

Middle School Science Teacher:

We are seeking an experienced, talented, energetic Middle School science teacher for the 2021-22 school year. Candidates should have an undergraduate degree in science or middle grades science education and should be able to teach a variety of Middle School science courses from a biblical worldview, including Life Science and Earth Science.
