HERITAGE ACADEMY SPORTS

CHRIS
Chris Robinson
Athletic Director
Hi! My name is Chris Robinson and the 2023-24 school year marks my fourth as Heritage Academy's Athletic Director. As a former college athlete and coach of 10 years, I've experienced the profound way God uses sports to mold and equip children. As a result, I've made it my goal as Athletic Director to bring together coaches that can authentically model the love of God while creating challenging practice environments that help students develop the resiliency and discipline necessary to succeed on and off the court/field.

SPORTS

When possible, we offer boys and girls basketball, cross country, soccer and track for grades 5-8 and a pep squad team for grades 3-8. We also offer boys tennis and girls volleyball for those in middle grades. Practices take place after school. Days and times of games/meets vary. In order to be eligible to play a sport at Heritage Academy, a student must:

  1. Complete the sports physical form.

  2. Attend a mandatory athlete-parent meeting at the beginning of the season.

  3. Maintain acceptable grades and conduct.

  4. Be present in school for at least half of a day in order to participate in practices & games.

  5. Faithfully attend all practices and games.

  6. Respect the integrity and judgment of game officials. Understand that they are doing their best to help promote the student/athlete, and admire the official's willingness to participate in full view of the public.

  7. Recognize and show appreciation for an outstanding play by either team.

  8. Refrain from the use of any controlled substances (alcohol, drugs, etc.).

SPECTATOR GUIDELINES
  • We are a Christian School and want to reflect actions that are a positive witness for Jesus Christ.
  • Use only those cheers that support and encourage the teams involved.

  • Remember that school athletics are learning experiences for students and mistakes are sometimes made. Praise student-athletes in their attempts.

  • Learn the rules of the game, so that you may understand and appreciate the game.

  • A ticket is a privilege to observe the contest, not a license to verbally assault others.
