Heritage Academy in Augusta broke ground on a new early learning academy Wednesday that will serve 120 children once completed.
Heritage’s executive director and founder, Linda Tucciarone, said the academy has been in the planning process for five years. The capital campaign was $5 million, which was completed within two months. The largest gift in this campaign came from the estate of W. Rodger Giles, a local commercial real estate developer, according to a statement by spokeswoman Eva Claire Schwartz.
